“Herd Bull- I know artists create their best work when pulling from personal experience. This ‘Herd Bull’ was the subject of numerous magazine covers that I photographed when working with Sports Afield magazine. After spending countless hours photographing and sculpting bull elk, I feel this piece depicts everything I find exciting about them. ‘Herd Bull’ depicts a large bugling bull elk in the prime of his life. My research for this sculpture involved countless hours of observing elk behavior, study of anatomy and artistic interpretation. This bronze elk sculpture is a culmination of a lifetime love for wildlife and wild places.” Â
